Kagame Li-A-Ping is an innovative young professional on the rise to helping his community move forward in the financial empowerment movement. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Kagame was raised in a Guyanese household. Kagame received his Bachelors Degree in Finance at Hampton University, and his Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Baltimore. While at Hampton, Kagame was deeply immersed in student life and engagement. His most successful endeavor was serving as the President of the Caribbean Pre-Alumni Council where he cemented the presence of Caribbean culture on campus. Kagame is a self proclaimed Soca King and is a true Carnival Junkie at heart. Kagame enjoys traveling, dancing, volunteering, and spending time with close friends.
Jenele Williams is a native of Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in an Antiguan household and spent most of her early school years immersed in Caribbean culture. But it wasn’t until Jenele started her studies at Hampton University that she began to embrace her culture. Alongside Kagame, she was heavily involved with the Caribbean Pre-Alumni Council, where she served as the Treasurer. It was in this role, where she discovered the importance of her Antiguan heritage and took advantage of the opportunity to share the Caribbean culture to everyone she came in contact with! She’s currently a Technology Recruiter based out of the Metro Washington D.C. area. She attained both her Bachelors and Masters of Business Administration from Hampton University. Jenele’s enjoys traveling, practicing self-care, and spending time with family & friends.
